About Us
"We are our ancestral blueprints, rewritten. We already hold all the keys, to all the doors. We just need to remember how to unlock them!" —Shani
We at JEWEL CHILD/SANA SANA COLLECTIVE help the birthing family realign mind, body and spirit— to invite and promote fluid, harmonious child-birthing experiences.
Jewel Child
Has Evolved
Welcome to Wild Birth
& Sana Sana Collective
An ecosystem of womb-centred care, community, and embodied healing
What began as Jewel Child was always rooted in care, reverence, and deep connection to women and families.
As this work has grown, it has naturally expanded into two aligned spaces—each holding a different layer of the same medicine.
Wild Birth is now the home of our direct offerings: womb-centred bodywork, somatic healing, birthkeeping, postpartum care, and women’s health services.
Sana Sana Collective is the heart of our community: a space for connection, shared learning, collective healing, and ongoing support.
Together, they form an ecosystem of care—supporting women not just in moments, but across the full spectrum of life.
A return to the body. A return to community. A return to what has always been ours.
If you’ve arrived here through Jewel Child, you are still in the right place. Visit wildbirth.ca to explore our current offerings and pathways into this work.
Why Wild Birth
Wild Birth was not created—it was remembered.
There comes a point in this work where softness alone is not enough. Where care must also be fierce, rooted, and unwavering.
The Jaguar Woman lives here.
She is instinct.
She is body-led wisdom.
She does not ask permission—she listens, she trusts, she moves.
Wild Birth is an invitation to return to that place within yourself.
To find your roar.
To trust the intelligence of your body, your intuition, your knowing.
And as birthworkers, this is the posture we are called into.
Not to rescue.
Not to control.
But to witness with steadiness.
To become what we call Roar Witnesses—
grounded, regulated, deeply present—
holding the kind of space where transformation unfolds safely, powerfully, and on its own terms.

What It Means to Birth Wild
To birth “wild” is not chaos.
It is not the absence of care.
It is birth that is:
• Body-led
• Instinctive
• Undisturbed when possible
• Deeply supported, not managed
It is birth that honours physiology, rhythm, and the sacred intelligence of the birthing person.
It is also how we approach healing, postpartum, and women’s health.
Wild Birth is not just about how we give birth—
it is about how we live in our bodies.
Sana Sana Collective —
The Village Lives Here
As Jewel Child grew, it became clear that care was never meant to live in one pair of hands.
It belongs to the village.
Sana Sana Collective is the evolution of that understanding.
While Jewel Child centred babies and children, Sana Sana expands the field—holding the entire family, the mother, and the community around them.
This is where the Village Care Model becomes our foundation.
Each practitioner within Sana Sana Collective brings their own intentional, skilled, and embodied work into the space—
woven together through shared values of reverence, consent, and deep care.
This is not one way of working.
This is a collective of medicine.

Sana sana, colita de rana… si no sana hoy, sanará mañana.
(Heal, heal, little frog’s tail… if it doesn’t heal today, it will heal tomorrow.)
A nursery rhyme many of us grew up hearing—
sung softly by someone who loved us
when we fell, when we cried, when something inside or out needed tending.
It wasn’t just words, or touch.
It was presence.
It was care, a prayer that said, you’re going to be okay.
Sana Sana Collective carries this same spirit—
the knowing that healing lives in community,
in closeness, in being held.
This is how we remember the village.
Honouring
Jewel Child
Jewel Child is not gone.
It remains a living doorway—
a space that continues to hold baby and child-centred offerings with the same love it was built on.
If you are seeking those services, you are welcome to explore them here.
